NEVER!!!!!!! take your Neighbor metal Detecting

Well being the nice guy that I am , my next door neighbor wanted me to take him MD N today . BIG MISTAKE.. he's only done it twice has no equipment, Got po ed first 10 minutes in because all he could find was bottle caps NEVER EVER AGAIN. I ended up detecting for about 30 min. Conditions were great ,,not ripple in the water not to mention Low tide . and this guy wants to go and get lunch. So I give in and start heading back to the car .. and that was the end of md for the day. I am so p,oed I could scream .. take it from me and a lesson learned. DO NOT TAKE YOUR NEIGHBOR METAL DETECTING EVER!!!!! GUZZ1

Thats why me and Glenn hunt well together. When we hunt we Hunt!!! When you see him on the 30th tell him to get back here. Theres lots of people in the water and too many beaches to hunt by myself!

Guzz1,

Maybe in the future if you do this again with someone else you should set some ground rules up front. This will let them know that after 10 minutes we're just getting started, so suck it up and keep going.

Guzz, this happened the first time my brother in law wanted to go with me, but since I had the keys, I told him he had to stay. He now has taken up detecting some what. These guys show up in deer camps too, only they become a hunting accident or stuck with camp cooking, clean up, wood chopping, etc. All they wanna do is play cards and drink. :tard:

Hey Snook ,,,,I'm good for about 4 hours of strong water hunting ,but Im also 52 now and not in my 30s. when I get tired I get sloppy and really shouldn't be hunting because I miss a lot that normally I wouldn't miss if i wasn't worn down.. I always drive that way I can quit when I want . But my neighbor was ready to leave after his third bottle cap. Jeeeeezzz guzz1

Hell, I'm 70 and can put in 5 hrs in the water. (If its interesting and I'm getting hits).

What wipes me out is the heat of the midday sun and humidity. Thats why I prefer working the water.

I'm with Montauk3, now that I'm in my 60's the heat and humidity kill me.Being fat doesn't help either. If it wasn't for water hunting I'd only hunt early morning and late afternoon.....I guess thats why I've turned into an almost exclusive surf hunter.....rdi

Well it happen again today .Walking out to my car loading up for a 3/4 hour spin , There's my neighbor AGAIN wanting to go MD, so I said come on... well instead of a 30 minute spin like yesterday we got a WHOLE HOUR IN. So I kindly told him on the way back to house that from now on he would have to drive his own car or take the scat bus or a cab

Hey Sandman, I know the type, I calling them goodtime Charlie's ... if you make the have a crappy time they won't invite themselfs along for the next trip ,You know what I mean ,, make them clean the Outhouse that should take care of it :thumbsup:
