New Bank Branches

When one of your bank opens a new branch have you noticed that they have a box of halves in stock? My bank seems to do that.

That is interesting, if you know a bank is closing have you tried to buy up all the dimes, halves, and quarters to see if they have some goodies buried in the back of the vault?

So your saying just that branch gets halves, or all the branches get halves when they have a "Grand opening"?

I always go in some of the older banks and ask if they have any rolls of halves in the back that have been around for a while.As for new branches I have seen them shutting down instead of new ones in our area.HH

A Capital One opened near me a few months ago, and when I stopped in to ask about halves they had a whole box. Maybe new banks order at least one of everything to have on hand for the opening.

Exactly, a shot at a box that you don't need to order that is right there for the taking.

I stopped by a credit union that just opened near me recently. They said they didn't have any halves, cause no one had brought any in yet.
