I found this ring in waist-deep water yesterday. My first ring in the last five trips to the beach. In fact, my first bling of any kind in the last five trips.

Congrats on the find, unfortunately, tungsten jewelry has no real value once sold. For me they are like mood rings.

I keep a few in my pouch that I throw back in surf when someone sees me recover a gold ring and argues it their ring even though they cant identity it. I look at the ring I just recovered and ask them what the engraving says and or what the gold K is. You can tell quickly if they are lying, if they correctly identify ring I return it, no problem.

I grab a tungsten ring or another junk ring from my pouch and toss it in surf telling them there go get it. Multiple times had someone try to claim a ring found, but was obvious they were lying.

You find way more rings than I do. I find on average about one ring a month, and this after going to the beach four times a week. I'm so excited to find even a junk ring that I treat them like real gold. I'd never throw one back, even if somebody was yelling at me.

Please dont misunderstand my post, I was not putting your find down, only stating my view on tungsten and other junk rinks like stainless steel, copper and the potmetal rings.

You know, tungsten and stainless steel rings may not be worth much but many times they are more beautiful than gold rings. Yeah value wise they aren’t there, but for eye appeal I give them 8/10

Don't let the common man hear you say that, we need people buying gold and platinum again. Tell people "that ring is beautiful, you're so smart in getting that, but you can never go wrong with gold, and do you know about platinum? Yep, it's said to bring good luck, and it's affordable too, less than half the price of gold despite being ten times as rare!" We want to get them buying these precious metals again so we can find more in the future.
