This was from a few days ago. No buttons on this site, but did find one additional piece of unusual pewter.

Union minies

These four are US Swage base minies

This last one hit hard and has a lot of character. Probably hit a rock.

It has been probably four years at least since I found this many minies in a single day.

Thanks. When people ask me what I want to find when I go out to a CW site I always say a minie ball. The reason is it is the most common CW artifact to be found, most days, but do I get one, yea! even one most days? No. I mean, what would you say otherwise - Let's go dig some Confederate plates today? That doesn't happen very often.
