Hey all,

I was hunting an old fair grounds last week and I ran into tons of iron rocks. I guess u would call them hot rocks. Since I am new to using my DFX I was unable to tune them out. I tried turning up the hot rock rejection but they where still being detected. The area was so full of Iron ore that I believe it still has some silver coins in it, because most people would just quit. It is so bad I cant keep the detector from sounding off. I guess my question is. Is the DFX able to deal with this kind of extreme? Seems like the only thing that might work here is a prospecting detector.

Thanks, Todd

I don't know about the DFX but I have similar problems at some railroad tracks due to the iron ores.Upgrade may be the only option.. even with manuel ground tracking and sensitivity control. And it is even harder to tune with fixed controls.(Automatic rejection.)I too need to up grade to minelab gold.

Good luck..
