New finds points

Went out to find something. But not too much to show for it. Plowing is getting done pretty late so we hit the water. Couple almost fulls and a couple brokes plus some other stuff. Back is paying for it now. Also some rhyolite and a nice piece of jasper that I may be able to knap into a point later. Hope everyone was able to get out today.

What type is the one on top I think its black.

Hey rock. It goes into the piedmont variety of points. I call them all eastern stemmed but that's just me. There's a lot of local names depending on your area. If its a little longer we call them bare island or if its base expands a bit we call it newmanstown. They are all virtually the same. That's why I go with piedmont.

Ben you got out. Good for you and you scored. That is even better. Yeah Monday mornings are never fun. That is a high grade almost clear. I am jealous as all I get is that milky color.

Found some quartz crystal pieces too. Not worked but all clear. Still waiting to pick that one up that looks like glass! Thanks Tn

Thanks everyone. Finds will hopefully step up when the fields finally get plowed. Got 5 inches of snow on the ground now. It will be gone in a day or two but it could've been washing those finds off!
