The Prussian Iron Cross object might not be a coin. I'm unaware of any modern coin using the word 'AUGUST'. What does come to mind is that on 5 August 1914, Wilhelm II, German Emperor ((1859-1941) signed the Iron Cross Foundation Decree. This object might be a medallion or part of a medal commemorative that event. Just another guess.
