Hello everyone.
I am restarting this hobby again after a 27 year hiatus.
Since I am retired now I pulled the Garrett Masterhunter ADS III off the pegboard hook, where it has been taking a well deserved break since 1984, and on the first day of Spring took it out for about and hour and a half.
After about 30 minutes of playing with the knobs and such to try to remember what settings I used in the past I searched for about one hour. I managed to find about .70 cents plus a 1941 Mercury dime. A couple of days later the same thing but there was a 1937 Mercury among the $1.60 or so.
Anyway, I got hooked again - real bad - and on March 29, 2011 bought a new Spectra V3i from my local dealer.
There you go - my introduction to the forum.
I really like the Spectra V3i so far even though I only used it twice for about an hour or so each.
There's a lot of information to digest, especially switching from a Garrett to a White's so I am going slow but thorough.
