New Jersey Cops Hunt Woman Who Let Her Dog Urinate On $2000 Worth Of Clothing In Lane Bryant Store | The Smoking Gun

Meet Theresa Tumbleson.

Police are on the lookout for the 35-year-old New Jerseyan, who allegedly allowed her small dog to urinate on 14 dresses and 11 pairs on pants at a clothing store.

According to investigators, Tumbleson and her pooch yesterday entered a Lane Bryant store in Toms River around 1 PM. The dog, cops report, proceeded to urinate on the garments, causing more than $2000 in damages.

After the dog soiled the clothing, store personnel asked Tumbleson to leave the business. But she “became belligerent and refused,” prompting workers to dial 911.

As officers arrived at Lane Bryant, Tumbleson sped away in her Chevrolet Malibu, eventually running several red lights while being pursued by police. Due to the wet roadway and a fear that the pursuit could imperil others, cops discontinued the chase of Tumbleson, who is pictured above.

In addition to charges stemming from the Lane Bryant incident, Tumbleson will face counts for eluding police and obstruction when she is apprehended. Bail has already been set at $30,000 for the latter charges.

$2000 worth of clothing? Is there 2K in clothing in an entire LB store? :icon_scratch:

I'm surprised they called off the pursuit :o
normally they chase till there is an accident
and then say they called it off seconds before the crash.

I've never heard of Lane Bryant, but $2000.00 for 25 pieces of Clothing ?
must be an expensive place, even if they are Quoting Suggested Retail.

Personally I hate people like her who think they can haul their animals in stores,
So I hope she gets the works when caught.
she should have left when told to.

Discount women's clothing store with online and catalog sales.

Discount ? lol from what ?
$2000.00 for 25 pieces of Clothing averages $80.00 each

The pair of Jeans I'm wearing cost me $2.00 at a Yard sale the Sweat shirt & Hoodie
$8.00 & $15.00 respectively at Family Dollar.
. Even My shoes had to be under $40

Add all together with underware, gas & a Meal, still under $80.00 :laughing7:

Ya must be a single guy. My wife shopped by catalog for years. Lane Bryant was the least expensive of the bunch, I know because that is who she bought from ... and she's more of a tightwad than I am.

The likely case is the clothing damages are grossly overstated for insurance purposes.

I do most of my shoe shopping online. I have a very narrow foot, and not many stores who carry shoes have narrow sizes. I can go to the major, high-priced shoe stores, but even then it's hard to find my size, 11 and a half, AAA. I have a pair of Hush Puppies loafers that I paid just under $40 for online. They are 'dress' shoes and fit well, also some Madden loafers that were about $30 that are dressy and fit well. If I want a cheap, everyday shoe, I can buy the Velcro type 'Silver Series' shoes at Walmart. They can be tightened enough to be comfortable. But, if I want a nice loafer, I go online. I have a couple of pair of lace-up shoes, one dress, and one everyday/work, but don't like lace-ups. I've had them for several years; and I've worn them very little. Yes, they're comfortable, but I just don't like having to tie them. I only buy loafers and Velcro type shoes now.
I'm not familiar with Lane Bryant either. I've heard about them, but never seen their catalogues. The insurance claim is probably what drove the prices up so much.
People who allow their pets to destroy things, should be held accountable. This gal shouldn't even be allowed to own a pet!

I have a fairly wide foot & size 13,
So it is hard to find shoes to fit comfortable.
for the last 3 Years I've gone through more pairs of shoes then i can count & it got to the point
my feet felt beat up & my shoes would wear on the inside first.

I would also tear them within a month and start Gluing them together just to get wear out of them :(

all Walmart shoes by the ay.

after I broke my ankle & healed I bought Interceptors shoes at wallmart, I forget the Price & I thought I'd hate them, but because I needed High & Snug for my Ankle, I bought them.

They tie in the Front but have Zippers on the side, So I never need to untie to get in & out,
just unzip. I actually Like them & I think they keep me from Walking gimpy if you know what I mean
