It looks like one half of a locket.

My vote, locket.... I can even see the picture of the woman or a man...Its silver, not copper, maybe gold look close for the 18K, 14k #'s etc...You can use the VDI from your detector...Not sure if your Bounty hunter works that way....Like my Whites...

[Hot zone]

Is it rusty?

[Nanner]

I don't think its half of a locket ... the material is more like a soda cap..the picture is of an old queen or king... I'll see if i can get better pics

[jrandy]

Ahh Tis a locket with a manish looking woman inside. 10kt ?

A better pic if you can will help

[m.langlois]

Enhanced it a bit for you

[CRUSADER]

It's a champagne 'top' to a cork, the wires went in the grooves to hold it & the cork to the bottle.

Ha! By Jove, I think you're right Crusader! I was wondering about the grooves...right on!

Crusader is dead on. It's from a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. The image is Madame Clicquot herself.
