New Member In Germany..Today's Finds

Hello
I'm stationed in Germany and I started using White's XLT two months ago. I have mostly hunted on the US base (playgrounds).

Todays 30 minute hunt, found this metal tin with current US medal and badges. It was a lucky find since it was between four metal poles.
Happy Hunting

Re: New Member In Germany..Today's Finds

1. RIDLEY; Euro shows up as coin icon with a VDI of about 60-70.
2. REBELLT;Bad Kissingen has been given back to the Germans, but I will see if I can get over there.
3. MODERN MINER; I have a Grey 88 IROC-Z in storage, brough the 97 Z-28 to Germany.
4. VIPER 771; Hi, I think a hunt later this year sounds like a great idea.

Here are more finds from on and off base.
I need help identifying the two shield unit crests, they are US ARMY, also have a headless horseman made from lead. A old pocket watch, 50 Cal training round dated 1940,some bullets, neat buttons (I think one is WWII German), old German coins, Euro coins and clad.

Re: New Member In Germany..Today's Finds

If the buttons are pebbled, they are german. They used other types but if they are pebbled, then for sure german.

The shield crests with the arrows look familiar.. part of a transportation unit. I am in the 313th ROC, and the unit crest looks like that with the arrow. I have seen it somewhere before. If I come up with anything Ill let ya know.

I haven't hunted on post before. I just figured it would be too hard to do so. Everytime I go on base, and they see my detector in the backseat... I get searched lol.

HH!!

More nice finds! The unit crest is of the 26th Infantry, the Blue Spaders. HH, Mike

Viper: One button was pebbled, I did some searching and I think its German Army. I have zero problems searching on post, I mostly stay around the playgrounds.

BMike: Thanks for the ID on the unit crest, what's funny is that one crest might be from the 40's(it was off post) and the other crest is from the 80s(on-post). Also, awesome finds on that field, if you need help on the field let me know:) :o
HH!

Yep, i figured german army thats awesome! I haven't found any buttons like that, mostly poncho or shelter half buttons. I may have to try hunting on post sometime. I am glad you got the badges IDed, bec i was WAYYYY off :)

Re: New Member In Germany..Today's Finds

Great finds. I hope that the service man who lost the medals can get them replaced. It's a shame that he lost them. They still look pretty good for being in the ground for a couple of years.

I forgot to say Welcome to TreasureNet. Glad to have you with us.
