Just joined. Looks like a great and informative site. I've always been interested in treasure and legend lore, this seems like the place to be. I'm from near Chicago.

Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Welcome to TreasureNet - you've come to the right place. There is more depth here than you'll ever be able to explore it all.

Thanks everybody for the warm reception.
Vpnavy: I found the illinois section, but I can't figure out how to post my location to my profile. (Could be because I'm on a mobile I'll . have to try this weekend)

Basically I'm an arm chair treasure hunter. Having 2 small kids at home and a career that keeps me pretty busy leaves little time to explore beyond the time everyone's already in bed. For me personally, realizing the history behind the legends is as exciting as having it in my hands for now.
Thanks again for the warm reception.
Brian.
