3D picture I took of a Rock Ring Midden near Roswell. Lots of potsherds, arrowheads and beads were on the ground.

Here is a cave behind the waterfall at Sitting Bull Falls, they say indian chiefs used to meet here and have ceremonies and such.

I attached an HDR photo of a cave for folks who are interested in this type of photography.

Its actually on BLM land and is not monitored very closely, it has new graffiti every time I visit it.

Thank's for sharing! Yes it is a shame the way some idiots have to destroy those ancient drawings with graffitti. There is a spot I know of that has been shot up with bullets. :violent1:

Its far from being that bad, a boy scout troop scratched their names near the panel in 1943, and a couple people scratched their names nearby, weathering and erosion is its biggest threat, its gypsum type material and very delicate.

Great pictures! Looks like you have found some really good places around Roswell. I live in Roswell also and always enjoy finding new places. Let me know if you ever want to go do some hunting. Jason

Great photos, Im from Las Cruces and do the nearby mountains here. Im too fat and old to be in any caves, but the old stuff is everywhere. I look forward to your post.

Beautiful HDR pics. I met up with some spelunkers recently who did underground photography. I caved for about 20 years in the south east. We never even thought of taking pictures back then though. My brother is a professional photographer and am sending him this link. Thanks for sharing the amazing area.

I enjoy cave photography.. I have been working going to some cave with a nice hand held black light and opening the shutter photographing fluorescent minerals. Nothing really cool yet. The 3D is fun and ANYONE can do it with a regular camera.

I just got the maps in the mail. They mapped one of the pits and sent me a copy. They were always the most fun cause we could repel. Be safe and keep sharing the pictures. I have sent your post to some from friends. They liked it as well.
Be safe.
