It looks more like a waterproof Treasure Pro than a MXT. I would have preferred that White's MXT build on the current platform adding wireless headphones, memory, and boosted gains than downgrading to a Treasure Pro. The analog settings were a HUGE plus that really made the MXT stand alone in the White's VLF lineup.

Why do you think it's a waterproof MXT? Just because they used MX in the name?

As most of you know, I am not a fan of Whites machines. To me, this is simply a Garrett AT Pro with a little lipstick and perfume, that will cost a lot more. I predict this new machine will retail for not less than $999.99 - and it isn't worth more than $650.00.

That's an honest opinion coming from a guy who has never used one . Or likely even read the manual , this machine has several features the at pro does not have .

Let's see how far off I am on the Retail price. I already conceded it has more makeup on it than the AT Pro - BUT, it is still a single-freq, semi-waterproof machine.

By the way, have you used one yet?

So you really think it's worth $50 less than a new ATpro? What if Garrett added a larger screen, backlight, auto trac with lock, more notches, adjustable tone ID, threshold adjustment, volume adjustment, true all metal, Vco? Would you think that would not be worth more than $650 - $50 less than the original ATpro?

It's fully submersible to 10 feet just like the ATpro.

To 10-feet, that's why I said "semi-waterproof."

AT Pro is $594.00 -- You can add all those bells and whistles and get another $100.00, but let's see what Whites will ACTUALLY charge for this new "Wonder Machine."

Tesoro Tiger Shark is WATERPROOF to 200-feet. Granted, it doesn't wear a short skirt and pushup bra, but it will find anything the "new" whites will. :occasion14:

Do you feel the $999.99 will be the MXS's Retail or MAP price? Because the $549.00 is the ATpro's MAP price.

I predict you'll pay at least $899.00 for the machine at a Whites dealership or at Kellyco.
