I been calling around for 4 days for new detector. i got a call from a guy i told him i want the mxt pro. he told me the pro and mxt are the same just the coil. so i took both machines and there diffrent. i got confused but he told me headphones pinpointer all for 800. after calling around i called the kellyco. thats on here. they got me the mxt pro with head phones and just 45 bucks more i got my pinpointer. Got to research and watch out for the scam people. Got to go with a good company record. so i learn today not just find a place and order look around and dont pay 50 bucks less on ebay for a used detector that u have no idea what its ben through. I love this place(treasure net). people and staff are great and with my disabilitys im going to be detecting in comfort and less pain. thanks treasure net. and thanks to great people at kelly co. you made a person with limted rescources happy and now im going back hunting. :headbang:

You're right about being careful with whom you deal. The MXT and MXT Pro are not JUST alike except for the coil. The MXT PRO has several improvements that IMHO justify buying it over the MXT. The depth, capabilities etc. are the same if using the same coils on both machines, but the PRO version offers a back light for poor light conditions, Multiple Tone ID, if desired and a quick ground balance feature that is useful on the go. I have the original MXT and have been very pleased with it, but if I were buying new, I'd opt for the Pro. My two bits.

I upgraded to the MXT PRO from Kellyco as well. Well you might say upgraded as I had the DFX but like the MXT much better. They offered me a much better deal than my local White's dealer. The PRO is different than the regular MXT and I love mine. The only difference in coils was on the MXT 300 which came with a 12" coil. Same machine just a different coil. I personally did not like the 12" coil as I was limited as to where to hunt with it. I have the 6x10 and the 10x12 SEF coils which is my primary coil. Congrats on your purchase and we can't wait to see you finds.
