New Nokta PI

I’ve seen a bunch of posts/comments on several forums Beach/Shallow Water subforum, which is where I primarily hang out.

Lots of talk/discussion about a new PI that Nokta is supposed to be coming out with. Some of the posts go back a few years. I stumbled upon this info earlier this afternoon about Nokta’s new “Magnetar” PI, so thought I’d share.

Looks like they’ll be 2 versions, one for gold nugget hunting, the other for searching historical relics. According to the list of details known so far, it's also supposed to be fully waterproof.

Here’s the latest info I’ve heard. I'm not a Nokta guy so don't have a dog in this hunt, but on a recent (Aug) Treasure Talk Digging Report, Karen from the 2Sisters YouTube channel was on. She looked excited & after being introduced, she quickly said “Phil “I do have a scoop for you”, then said “Nokta is about to release 2 new detectors “This Fall”, they’re both gonna be pulse induction, Gold, Relic, etc. She then said she got this information directly from Alyshia, a Nokta Nomad at the Detecting Michigan seeded hunt.

Fast Forward to 8:38 -

Karen also said that she posted a video of her conversation with Alyshia “Nokta: 2 NEW Detectors Coming SOON!” So I headed to her channel to watch that video. She’s speaking with Alyshia, and Alyshia confirmed what everyone already knows about the 2 new PI’s. Then Alyshia said that Nokta is currently in the hard core testing phase, and that they want to get the PI’s perfected before releasing. Maybe that’s due to Fisher and Garrett, releasing the AQ & Vortex before all the bugs were worked out. But she didn’t mention “Fall” on camera, only would say the detectors are “coming soon”.

Fast forward to 0:30 -

So, on the August Digging Report’s video, Karen mentions she has a scoop directly from Nokta, and says the 2 new PI’s are coming this Fall. But on her channels video, where she’s speaking with Alyshia at the Detecting MI hunt in July, Alyshia seemed to tow the company line and would only say “coming soon”.

Not sure what to make of all this but IMO, 3 possibilities exist:

1. Either Karen misspoke by misinterpreting "coming soon" to mean the Fall.

2. Since a month has gone by since the Detecting MI hunt and the most recent Digging Report, maybe Nokta gave Alyshia the OK to let a Fall release slip to Karen, since we're now getting closer to the Fall.

3. It's also possible that during a private conversation with Karen, either before or after the camera started recording, Alyshia may have let it slip that the PI’s would be releasing in the Fall. She may have said that to Karen privately, but once recording started, she may have been under company orders to stick with saying “coming soon”.

I wouldn’t discount #3, as people tend to say one thing in private, but another thing for public consumption. I think we’ve all done variations of this. If I found 5 gold rings during 1 beach hunt, I may post on the forums that I found these 5 gold rings on the beach, but wouldn’t specify the specific beach. But I probably would give the specifics to a detecting buddy I share hot spots with. There always seems to be 2 stories, 1 story for the general public, and the 2nd, maybe the real story, to let slip in private.
