New River Gorge bridge

Hello,
I saw this bridge in West Virginia while on vacation. The bridge is 900 feet above the river and is the longest single span bridge in the world.

I guess you've heard of Bridge Day, when they close the bridge to vehicles and let everyone walk the bridge, and jump off, with parachutes of course. There's an occasional bungee jump too.

Halfway down the gorge, there's a spring where folks fill up with water.

No we didn't but we should have. We seen a number of people rafting. That looked like fun as near as I could tell from the lookout.

No we didn't. I didn't know about that. We were passing through the area on our way back home.

I haven't been up there since the catwalk tour began. Last year maybe? I would think they would have info on it at the overlook, but obviously not. I hear it's not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights.
