The weather was the best part of the day considering some of us can't get out and dig. High was about 35 but no wind. Friend called and asked me to join him at a new spot that had significant confederate movement. Not sure what this Union Navy button was doin out there :laughing7: The coins don't look so hot but they are what they are :hello2: 3 center is dateless, Large cent is unidentifiable, IH-1880 I/S

P.S. thank you Buckleboy for trying to help me i.d. what I thought was a confederate button :laughing9: I didn't know the drooped wing eagles were on union buttons :dontknow:

Nice Navy Button!!!! I am surrounded by water here in SE Virginia and have never seen one!! Thank you for sharing!! And you got a 3 center!! Wow!! Great digs!!

ah so the back or front i think its the front also obvese and reverse is worn. still a great find those suckers are tiny. i found a 1853 3 center last year and a couple of feet aweay a half dime. i could see how they were lost. verrrrrrrrrrrrry small.
 
Great find on the 3 cent piece! Im still searching for one of those as well! Happy Dirt Fishing.
