I just got the 10"x5" dd for the T2 and I have to say this is a sweet a$$ coil. I did some research and found an old homesite way out in the middle of a field and when I got there didn't find anything but junk. Disappointed to say the least I noticed a small rise about 200 yards away and thgt what the heck. As soon as I got on the rise I seen glass, brick and foundation rocks. It's in corn stubble right now but I could see enuff of the ground to know it was worth a shot. GLAD I DID, in two hours I had a pocketful of keepers. 1825 LC, 1851 LC, 1873 injun and the two beauts of the hunt were the 1825 half cent( my first ) and the 1860 prez campaign token of ABE LINCOLN and HANNIBAL HAMLIN!!!!!!!!!!!! SWEET!!!! Those sure are pretty with the pics in them!! I also got several buttons and a whole arrowhead!! Some clay pipe bowls and a couple of pontil bases were found also. I would say for me atleast it was a awesome hunt and can't wait till fall when it's in bean stubble to hunt the he77 out of it!!!! THANX for lookin and HH.......
Wish I had a better camera because I know the pics aren't that great. Sorry...

fishstick, Congrats on the finds. Never hurts to check them high points. Keep Swinging!!!

That was a amazing hunt, congratulations. That token is awesome, I would go crazy thinking about a spot like that if I had to what till fall to go back.

i am still looking for my first half cent, great find,, cool Lincon

Looks like you got a nice early spot that should keep giving every time they plow (if they still do). Congrats on the LC's, the HC, and the prez token!

NICE finds! Looks like the last guy that had the token was a democrat and had more use for it as a washer! Congrats!

Thanks for sharing. Great Lincoln Still buried in snow in northern mi. Can't wait to get out and start Congrats

Wow! That campaign token is an awesome piece of history to discover even with the hole in it, congrats.

And an arrowhead too, a lot of nice finds there

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Firstly I would have stayed longer than the 2 hours....
I did 5 hours today, with nothing worth the digital film. HAHA.

Anytime you see old glass, and bricks it is definitely more than worth a shot, not to mention the pipe bowls. Assuming the white clay ones, probably dates the site as early as you can get.

An awesome hunt, results for the short time are great. I wouldn't be able to wait for fall harvest, even though I know what a pain corn stalks are. GET BACK THERE MAN !

I'm not in th USA but seen enough posts to know half cents are hard to come by, add in the pipe bowls, and you have a very good site going on there.

Hope you post again real soon.
PS I like those type of coil, not too small, not too big, decent coverage, yet "skinny" (to get in between those freekin corn stalks, very similar size wise to my omega, which is still my fav. machine)

EDIT, your pics don't suck, it's just T-net downsizes them, so if you want something to be as big as possible in a pic. it is best to crop the pic down to just the item (your coin) removing all background.

awesome digs. love the campaign token

Nice finds man. What's the benefit of that coil? I do OK with the stock coil and the little 5" but I'm always looking to add to my arsenal if it makes sense. Thanks!

Thanx Rick on the pic idea!! I ran out of time that day that's why such a short hunt. I'm hopin to get out there this weekend sometime, I'll be out of town for work for the next 4 weeks so that's why I'm thinkin fall but maybe plantin will be a lil' later this year because of all the rain we're getting. I'm really impressed with this new coil but I'll prob put the 5" on when I go back. I have alot of hope for this site, I'm thinkin it might be virgin!!! The prez token would have been a killer but my fav has to be the half cent, it looks sweet in the hand!! Thanx again bud and HH.....

Thanx Joey!! This coil is killer for the reasons Rick had stated plus it's separation is outstanding!!! The only downside is it's a lil' heavier than expected, but not that bad. It almost matches the 11" in depth, just a lil' shy of it but we run T2's so depth is not a issue!!! GL & HH....

Coming from an Abe I love that Lincoln token ! What a cool piece of history. Looks like I gotta get me a new coil for my T 2 SE. Thanks for the great post
