Got permission to hunt a new spot and gave it try today. I only hit a very small portion of the area, but, it had a LOT of clad. Spent 4 hours swinging, found no gold, no silver, but, I did manage to unearth exactly 100 coins. The ground is so incredibly dry that some of the coins looked like they hadn't even been in the ground........there were 5 quarters from a pocket spill just under some dead grass (they're the shiney ones in the pic). There HAS to be some old coins in this place.....at least, some silver!

Looks like a good day - Keep going and you'll get that silver!

Hey Roland, that still ads up to almost $10!

I'm sure the silvers are hiding there somewhere! ;D

Got a NICE gas rebate today! Lots of targets there

not bad, you pulled a lot of coins

Being new to this game, I'm not asking your location, but what kind of spot was it? Open fields, ball park, swimmin hold? :dontknow:

Not a problem.......I made one trip down either side of a track/football field that isn't very old, however, it was built over an older elementary school site. There is another elementary school site that is much, much older that is now privately owned. I'm in the process of finding the owner and getting permission for that area......it should prove to be very worthwhile! The area I found the stuff in the picture seems to be virgin territory, I don't think a locator has ever passed over it (good for me!).

Thanks for the info.

I am trying to get an idea of just where to look.

I was downtown Wilmington this weekend and I noticed that they were tearing up one of the busy main streets, putting in something :dontknow:. It looked like a place to check out, but after hours. Busy with traffic. May get asked to leave very quickly.
