Dreadmoc (Pronounced: DREDD-MOCK, as in Judge Dredd and Mock(ing) bird). It is my pirate handle, given to me by my father, Steven (quoted below). I needed a name to use on the BBS when playing all the cool "door" games back in the day, so he invented one for me. I was 7 or 8 years old at the time, circa 1987-88.
The BBS (for those who are unfamiliar) was a very early form of internet. We used dial up modems to call our friends' and neighbors' computers before the internet was public and wide spread.
I have kept the handle for many years now. I'm a member of many forums. I find them very entertaining. Discussion forums are sort of a hobby for me.
Treasure Legends have always been fun and fascinating to me. I have visited this site many times in the past. I enjoy reading your threads.
Research and Historical Data Gathering would be a better way to describe the "kind" of "treasure hunting" I do. Hint: I'm also a member at screenwriting goldmine. I write screenplays as a hobby as well, and who doesn't like a good treasure hunt movie!
Anyway, finally decided to join. Lot's of good stuff here. Thanks for the neat ideas you have provided in the past and all the future data I can get my grubby little hands on.
Thanx,
Dread
