New to Detecting

Hello,

I am new to detecting and this board. I did allot of reading and just purchased a Garrett ACE 250 to learn with. I live in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota so I have allot of places to hunt. Hopefully I will find some nice stuff to post in Today's Finds section.

I also have the 250. Somebody once said that Garrett put a $700 detector in a 250 case. A guy a used to hunt with used his ace and I used the E-Trac. He regularly kicked my rear. It's a great machine to learn on. I got one to loan to those who haven't detected and want to try it. Also works good for the landowner to use when you are asking permission to hunt on private property. Jim
