New to MD - Have a simple ? - i think!

I have been infected with the MD virus recently, and was the recipient of a used (but still working fine) Whites Eagle Spectrum MD as a gift from the cause of the infection (my brother). While my wife sees this as a potential relationship rival, or terminal addiction risk, (after 25 years of seeing my mug, you'd a thought she'd see this as a good thing), I am eager to have some fun finding stuff instead of just losing it for a change.

Anyway, my question is this... I don't have a manual for this MD, and I don't kbnow if I can use it in shallow water. Can you offer advice, or answers/suggestions?

I'd go to White's website whiteselectronics.com and if there isn't one there, they should be able to provide you with one. And yes, this will conflict with marriage, but hey, it was fun with the wife while it lasted.
