New to Metal detecting (Advice)

Hello fellow treasure hunters, I'm very, very new to metal detecting. I would like to know what metal Detectors are considered good and what equipment will I need.

I'd try and research the area first, but, even if I don't find any info, I'd give it at least a once-over to see what might be there. It's obviously been worked so there was some human activity over the years. Just make sure you have permission. Good luck and let us know if you find anything.

I did the same as you bbells. i started with an Ace 250 then to the ATP and now to a Whites V3i. The pro pointer pays for it's self quickly
