I'm Hoss from Harrisburg, PA. I've been detecting off and on for about 20 years. I've had several Whites detectors with my current detector being a 6000 XL PRO. I'm considering getting a second detector. Does anyone know how the Whites MX5 compares to the 6000 XL PRO? Looking for something that is a little lighter and compact than the 6000 to carry with me in my truck. I've seen some reviews that it is a decent machine.

Welcome to the forum! the MX5 isn't bad from what i hear but it was recently discontinued so it may not be the best choice. I hear good things about the MX sport . I'm hoping to pick one of those up myself.
