:icon_sunny: Hi to everyone. I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. Name is Jim. My machine is a Garrett ACE 150 which I started using in spring of 2007. I have tried to get out as often as I can, but, I am somewhat limited in my free time to MD. My wife has a kidney disease and she has to have dialysis 3 times a week, so, in order to take care of her, I have to limit my excursions somewhat. But, she is doing just fine and getting better all the time. I am 72 years old and a native of NC. We have resided in Greenville, SC since 1996 and don't have any plans to leave (well, not right away, anyhow). I usually do my MD'ing fairly close to home at some parks and a closed Air Force Base which is within a mile of the house. I've had some luck with finding a lot of clad, 2 silver coins, and a couple of .50 cal. machine gun rounds there. Nothing special except one of the silver coins is a 1941 quarter. I really enjoy reading all the posts and hope I'll have something good to contribute soon. Thanks and HH to all!!! Jim

Hi Jim and welcome. :coffee2: It doesn't matter if you post pics or not so long as you have fun detecting.

Good Luck,
Sandman

Welcome Jim!

First let me say, I will keep your wife in my Prayers! Give her a TNET HELLO for all of us here.

Glad you enjoy detecting, it's so much fun. Hope you find your pot of gold or close to it!

I'm a Tar Heel Baby myself, born in Ft Bragg and raised in Fayetteville. My best friend from childhood lives in Greenville.

Loonies? Wizards? So which are you? :D ;D

We also have lurkers, smart alecks, Doofuses. But you also have those fine upstanding, respectable, US citizens (like myself) who are valuable contributors. ;D :D :D

BTW - Welcome to the crazyhouse Jim.

Welcome to the forum! Hope to see more of your finds as time goes on!

Welcome to the forum Jim. I know what you and your little lady are going through. My wife had the same problem until I was able to give her one of my kidneys. What the heck, you only need one. It was just a miracle that we were a blood match as none of her family stepped forward. Anyway, thoughts and prayers with you guys. :icon_sunny:

Welcome, Jim! Glad to see you're taking great care of the missus! :angel11:

I look forward to seeing your future finds! ;D
