New Video & A Botched Recovery!

I went out this Saturday for two and a half hours for two major reasons, to shoot some video and because of all the rain we recently had. The day started off really good with a silver quarter appearing early in the game. Also managed a silver dime towards the last thirty minutes of the hunt. It wasn’t until I started editing and cutting up the video for Youtube that I realized the possible mistakes I made along the way. One of those, the obvious one, I have pointed out in the video. The second, I didn’t realize until much later. I’ll call it an Easter egg. I spoke to Joe G on this one and asked him……….should I save myself the embarrassment and cut that stuff out of the video? Joe said leave it! A lesson learned in the past has now been reinforced. I was a little distracted with the camera on this occasion. Enjoy guys….

I want to thank everyone for the comments, I know you guys enjoy the videos and that is why I do them. I will also like to point out that the situation that occured on this video would probably never have happened had I not been distracted filming. When you're trying to get correct angles and everything else required to get something worthwhile on film, on your own, things like the camera tipping over, whacked or hit with flung dirt are only the beginning of the things that take a certain percentage from the actual concentration left for metal detecting. That is not to mention the amount of time consumed in the process of taking off gloves to turn it on, off, or put it away, or out. Or to delete unnecessary material to make space for more, etc. With that said, I am very diligent in rescanning plugs and other habits that prevent losses. Some mentioned getting a probe. That is something I will do. I have expenses right now in renovatiions and other things which take priority, and since my eyes are definately set on a sunray, it's not going to be cheap. It will happen though. I know these things save you time in a big way. On another note, I will soon have the TNet member video ready. The delay you ask? Lack of a theme song. Finally found something to match the video.

Never seen the movie Mel.......but what is the song? Now I'm interested Normally I try to find something that somewhat fits with a video. I think music is an important aspect of delivering the material.

Missed coin or no, that is one sweet video. I can't imagine trying to keep track of a running camera on top of everything else. Keep 'em coming. Nice silver, too.

The look in that kid's eyes.................Lorddy......doggone good thing that Rick hasn't seen that movie......I betcha he'd never set foot in that park again...........Nosireeeeeeeee......

Your kidding right, I saw that movie as a kid and I think it screwed me up . Wasn't sure if I saw what I think I saw that screwed me up. So I watched it again as an adult and then I was sure that I did see what I thought I saw . And now I'M SURE that movie screwed me up. The mere mention of that movie produces a blank stare on my face and makes me want to hide under the bed...
Ricardo if you're reading this DON"T WATCH THE MOVIE or you too WILL BE TRAUMATIZED !!!!

Ricardo, I really enjoyed the video. I don't know how you guys manage all that multimedia multi-tasking. Maybe I should get a helmet cam...

Congrats on the silver. Sorry about the whole "plug" incident, but I'm sure you'll keep cranking with the silver, so lesson learned! Every now and then we all need to make some mistakes; it keeps us on our toes.

We still need to hook up one day. I know Joe G. keeps mentioning a trip to Prospect Park. Let's all get together and do that!
