Some place I spotted off the road that looked "abnormal", once I got back off the road I dropped into what looked like an old swimming/fishing hole. Not allot of targets, probably another pounded site like most sites in my area? Pretty place, very serene, If I were deer hunting I'd set up a stand here. There is a deer trail running right down the one side, would be a perfect set.

I ended up with a pouch full of trash, two Mercs 1943 and I think a 1941 S one of the first times I couldn't get a date off a silver?

I also found this arrowhead, not sure what kind of metal?

Metal arrow heads were common in the 1800's, Indians would make them out of anything. Most popular scrap metal they used for making arrow heads were the metal rings from wooden barrels. Yours looks copper or brass so maybe the Indians made it out of a coin or some other random copper scrap they scrounged. Very interesting.

Silver is always great and that arrowhead is cool.
It may be pretty old too; you never know.

I guess you're missing the water hunting at this point huh?? I know I'm not liking this cold weather headed my way AT ALL.

I'll have to check with a couple local museums for Indian artifacts, I just never heard of or seen metal arrowheads, of course that don't mean anything because I really know nothing about it. Thanks Under.

That's what I'm saying Dave, thanks.

I'm going back there tomorrow, big piece of woods, other side looks like a sandstone quarry (1700's foundations were build with this stone) Acres to ramble around in, not far from where I got that half dime.

It looks like you found an arrow head pendant with a broken loop it would be pewter if that's the case

That was my friends first guess, I didn't want to put any ideas in anyone's head. The self proclaimed card carrying Indian girl waitress said that is what she thinks it is.
Thanks for the reply.

I concur......still some nice finds!!

Iowa Dale
I had it in distilled water, now it's in oil, I'll bring it out in the morning and see what it looks like. I really don't think its zinc, I'm leaning more towards bronze or white metal. I'll get it to the museum, but I think it's junk jewelry?

TREBLEHOOK NICE ARROW HEAD FIND .
Thanks BUDDY, lol

I'm missing the water, still don't have everything for the boat yet, or the wet-suit. I'm having fun, I'll find more in the future when I get everything together.
