Hi all, friend reffered me here, cool site! Been out metal detecting for the first few times with my cheapo harbor freight model clearing nails out of our horse pasture. Found a Winchester Blue Rival shotgun head! This is too much fun.

U on ur way, hooked

Welcome Nick. You started smart. You bought a inexpensive machine to see if you like the hobby. Just beware this is an addictive hobby. I honestly don't drive by an old house or field and think "boy, Id'e like to hunt that" I'm also an avid fisherman and have been doing both for 40 years. I don't drive past a lake and think "boy, Id'e like to fish that"

Very nice . Love the photo of the shotgun head and the coil disc In The background looks like it belongs in a Harbor Freight Ad.

Also Welcome to our forum, glad you’re here

Welcome to this addiction. Your well on your way to needing an intervention. I recommend trying a hunt a day. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

I bet that find rang in with a loud mid tone, the tone where Gold lurks. I bet you'll be upgrading soon. I also started with a low end machine and after it paid for itself in 60 days I jumped up to a mid level machine. Good Luck and happy Hunting
