Hi. I just got an AT Gold, and would love to find someone to go out with locally and detect with. Parks, beaches, whatever, I am in Rohnert Park and available weekends and evenings! Thanks

I am also here in RP and ready for a dig mate too. Being retired, my schedule is mostly free. It is very clear that RP is the home of clad coins - over 100 finds with a single wheat penny dug. For a city that began in 1962, one would think a silver coin must be buried.

If clad coins would interest you, I have a great place here in town for us to go.

Hey art, thanks for the response I am up for whatever I happen to find. I live over and b section and have not found a single wheatie yet. I can usually get away evenings and weekends. My email is [email protected], send me a message and we will do some hunting.
Looking forward to it! John

John, it was light until about 8:30 tonight. What time would would we start on week nights? All the fields and parks here are pretty full on weekends. I have been to SR and the river, found nothing but learned county parks are off limits (right now)

When I want an easy hunt I hit the playgrounds. A-Section is sand at the city park, everywhere else uses redwood chips. These kids lose a lot of lunch money, and it is clean! I keep hoping for the kid who stole a ring from grandma and lost it at school. I found a Hot Wheels car, not quite the platinum ring....

Let me know about a start time,

Art

Art,

This week is tough to get away, Saturday and or Sunday will work great for me. I manage an older apartment complex and have found a variety of things around here. There are a couple schools around here too that I have found quite a lot. Let me know if sat morning works and we could meet at one of the local schools
Thanks,
John

Sunday will work just fine. I would like to take a stab at the baseball field at Benecia Park. While it has been relaid, I watched the plant three times over the last 30 years. Twice was seed and then sod. The fields were well maintained until about 2005, nothing since. All they did was turn the ground a foot each time. This field has hosted thousands of league players during the same time. Bleachers have a cement foundation, but I remember overflow bleachers being put on the grass. There is a playground, but it is from about 2008. The public pool used to be overflowing, the line to enter was very long, I remember where those lines were on grass.

We will not have to leave this spot for hours. I found my second wheat cent today, and two silver chains and crushed ring. This was the place I found my first wheat. We can go get your wheat cent Sunday too.

Let me know about the time,

Art

Does 9:00 work for you?

9 am on Sunday will work just fine. That park is near my house , and I found a few dollars there in just one small area previously. I will let you know if anything changes. Do you want to meet by the track? Or by the baseball field?
Cheers,
J
