I've got a silver uMax. What's the difference in how my silver works and how the cibola works? Just want to understand the different technologies. Thanks!

Not all that much. The Cibola will give a bit more depth and has a threshold based all metal option which can be useful at times, but for most detecting your Silver should be just fine.
