Newbie

Newbie from KY, I've had some experience from years ago, very young age, at metal detector. Haven't uses one in years but have been thinking of getting back into it. I'd like suggestions and opinions on what brands/models are good to start out with. Mainly going to be using it on land but a waterproof coil for creek hunting would be nice as well.
I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to start out just something that'll get the job done and get me started I can always upgrade later. Thanks for any input!

Welcome aboard TNet! My standard recommendation for a good starter machine that you shouldn't have to upgrade for a while is the Fisher F44. Good Luck with whichever detector you decide on! Happy Hunting!
