Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).
 
I'm from Ireland where the laws re detecting are very restrictive,in fact it's a very grey area legally speaking,detecting here is a sort of cloak and dagger affair,frowned on very much by the authorities,with severe penalties for those that run afoul of the law,hence the reticense re profile info.
