Newby asking: MDing in MD?

Anyone here do any metal detecting in MD? Primarily, Southern MD? There is a ton of history here to find and I live in what I think is a great spot. I'm brand new to this and just need some good weather to break out my MD I got for Christmas!

Hit it today, the breaks in the frozen ground are few and far between this time of year, but I did note that the daffodils shoots are showing which usually means an early spring. Frank in NE Maryland
