Newmont Gold's Chopper
I was all this last week in Elko Nevada at a trade show. Newmont & Barrick Gold mines are the big players in the area. This Chopper was built for Newmont Mining by Paul Teutul, Jr. of the Orange Country Chopper TV show. In the gas tank it had a couple of 38mm rock drill bits they drill the rock anchor holes with and the tail pipes had a couple of diamond core drilling bits on the end. In the center of the air cleaner was a little slab of pure .999 gold from one of the mines that weighed 2.5 ozt.
