After yesterday it was time to get over some older dirt. We wanted to finish off an area we started in a field next door to 1 of our Iron Age/Roman Sites. We have never had much off this field but it was our best option right now.
It was mega sticky & the 3 hours felt like 5 but it was worth our while:
11 Scrappies
Big Lead Shield (I straighten out) - 'THE CHAMPION No.2172'
17th C Buckle
Roman Nail Cleaner
Our first 'confirmed' Iron Age (Celtic 100BC-100AD) Chariot Linch-Pin.
(It's only the top piece but a rare find)
My star find a Siliqua of Jovian AD363-4 - RIC book R2 Raity (only 7-10 known at the time of publish)
Damaged, but being my only silver of this Emperor makes it a special album coin!
