Hello, i have permission to hunt a very old place that is being fixed up for resale....i have been there about 20 times as i live only a few houses down from it..i can not believe how you can go over the same place time after time and still pull great things up...i have been pulling all kinds of goodies out of this yard..about two weeks ago i found one of the nice cigar tokens and this week i found two more plus the 1916 merc...8th silver coin from this yard with one being a barber quarter....merc is worn and i just can't tell what the mint is...not to long ago i found a 1916s merc...that will get your blood pumping looking for the d.... this is such a great hobby.....best of luck to everyone.......

Very Cool Tokens..........

Comparing it to the picture I have in my coin system it looks like that could be a 1916 D which would be a very good key date

nice token!!! and it is a S mint mark.. MR TUFF

Definately an S. If it was a D, the upper and lower left corners would be pointed. Yours is curved on the upper corner.

Tokens are the Detecting Gods shedding tears of goodness.
Not being able to fully read the mint mark on that dime, well,
that's just one of their many attempts at a warped sense of humor.
Any idea on the Smith Bros?
Great hunt.
Carl
