Got back to the field where I found the Western Union button for a couple of hours after work. Found an 1884 Indian that had been in a fire and a really nice large colonial button. It has a 6 pointed star design and 12 of what appears to be flowers on it. This is one of the more intricate of the large colonials that I have found. Thanks for looking...Lance

Nice, is that in good shape for a button?

Yeah Mud, This one is in pretty good shape. This type is from 1775 to 1800 so they have been in the ground for quite a while. Our soil is real wet up here too. What makes it really nice is that it is nice and flat and all there and is not to badly deteriorated. Thanks...Lance

that is a really nice button... i have yet to find any colonial buttons with any design on them. i guess the people that lived in my area just couldnt afford to have design on their buttons.

Take it easy.
