Went through 74 dollars in nickels with some good results. Found a dateless buffalo, 2007 proof and a 1941. Proof nickels are not very common for me. It seems that people find lots of proof half dollars but not many pennies, nickels, and dimes. I have only found 2 proof nickels so I'm glad to add another to the collection. Hope to have enough money for a box next week. HH.

Proof nickels and buffalo's! Two of my favorite finds, well done. I find proof nickels on average 1 out of every 13,517 nickels. I find proof halves 1 out of every 2,096 halves.

The supply for all other denominations such as pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters are MUCH GREATER than the supply of halves, and since each proof set contains one of each denomination proof (with the exception of quarters and small dollars, sometimes), you would expect to see more proof halves vs any other denomination.

Nice finds, congrats!

Thanks for your comments and for the info on proofs BB. HH

Very nice finds!
