Finally all the field has been ploughed & we have until Sat/Sun to detect it before its rolled & off limits. I did 7 hours today & Dad helped for 4.5. In my first hour & 20 minutes, I got the 4 Hammered :o Then it slowed up for some hours until on the second to last run I got hit out of the blue with a tiny Saxon Sceat circa 700AD. :headbang:

Also had:

4 Lead Tokens
1 Jetton
2.5 Royal Farthings
2 Nice 17th C Tokens
Roman Ring fragment
10 Roman Coins

What another outstanding day :coffee2:

Yes they come from Kent, mine was unusuall because of the Northerly find spot, but as you say they are always welcome, the Halfpenny or farthing hammered looks interesting :o

Still waiting for the main fields, The field were the william pennies come from that has been hammered to death, has just been sown with rape, he doesn't let anybody on when sown, but he has said I can.
Although it's been done to death it is a huge field, and the coins it's produced are...well lets just say you could if, you have a bit of luck,.. find just about anything..Viking, Saxon and Norman penies, not many fields you can say about that.
