No.1 Field & its Neighbour...GRAND TOTALS

This is the finds from 20 days on the No.1 Field (plus about 12 from Dad) & about 5 days on its Neighbour (& 1 from Dad).

Hammered - No.1 Field last Year: 33 This Year: 33 (Freaky) Neighbour last Year: 2 This Year: 7

Therefore 35 versus 40, so a slight increase on our second year, that is surprising :o

Overall grand totals of recorded finds - Last Year 508 This Year: 501. Close :laughing7:

The pictures below do not include the hundreds of plain/4 hole buttons, Georgian/Victy Coppers, broken buckles & other scrap box items.

Highlights for me were the Medieval Thimble, Zoro Mask Farthing, Viking Coin, & Very Rare Saxon Sceat :headbang:

Re: No.1 Field & its Neighbour...GRAND TOTALS

I really envy you guys in the"Old Country" when it comes to treasure hunting. You have demonstrated once again you can dig more in a few days than most of us in the "New World" can find in a lifetime over here. Thanks for letting us share. Monty

Thanks, its the only 'work' I take seriously :hello:

You are the MAN, lol...
You should have a museum all to yourself... Well, and dad too!
Thanks for the history lessons mingled in with the great finds, that we, over here across the pond, soak up, and wish that we were there with you both.
Sorry, if the grammer and stuff isn't correct

Had I told this to myself 5 years ago when we were getting about 25 hammered in a good year, I would have said - 'not possible' :D

As you probably know I do display quite a bit in the local Museum. Who knows, maybe one day, if we get our way, we will have a larger permanent Museum location & it all could fill it. In another 10 years, I will run out off spare room :laughing9:
Glad you feel your getting a 'History lesson'. I could write so much more but I try & let the pictures speak & keep the writing short enough that people will read it :P

Grammar :laughing9: English is one of my weakest subjects (French being the worst), you probably know more than me, plus I'm mildly dyslexic :tongue3:

Re: No.1 Field & its Neighbour...GRAND TOTALS

Just WOW! I'd quit my job and go digging every day if I could find stuff like that. HH

Hi Cru !
When you die the main museums of the world will fight to acquire his collection.
