No Detecting on Wed, FINAL Outcome!

What day is today?? Wed. So what to do when you don't think you can detect your favorite park? Find out the real rules.

First to the Parks and Recreation building. Lady there says no supervisor around till after 1pm. Next to the Roosevelt City Office. Yes there is a city ordinance prohibiting detecting. BUT she doesn't know where to find it. So next to the police department. Chief comes out to talk. Great guy. Yes there is an ordinance against it, however, if I talk to the supervisor over the parks department and he gives the ok they do not enforce it. GREAT. After 1pm I go back to the Parks and Recreation building and meet the person in charge. I give him my business card and tell him what I do and how I do it. Also told him about the sign. He laughed and said go right ahead. He had absolutely no problem with me using a screwdriver and I can go anytime I want to play.

So back at the sledding hill. More fun. 74 quarters, 16 dimes, a nickel and 5 pennies. Very tiring for me playing on this hill for too long. This was a bit over 3 hours of swinging my E-Trac. A bit overkill for clad but it works.

So now I can play there any day of the week including Wed!







I have absolutely no idea how many quarters I have now out of this park. I would have 52 more if I didn't let my son in law borrow a machine. This hill is just full of clad.

I already created a water monster out of him. Got him a Fisher CZ-21. Actually I gave my daughter a White's Spectrum I drowned a few years ago. She never got it repaired. I don't know if they still repair them but when I called Whites, they told me 125.00 flat rate. No idea what the status is anymore. I will let them figure it out. I also got my grandson an Ace 350 and a pro pointer.

CRAP!!

I saw the sign and was going to tell you that the "O" was missing (thinking I was going to be the smart guy), but apparently somebody out smarted me!! LOL........

Now it doesn't matter what the sign says, you have fulltime permission so have at it!

The coinage count is awesome. I know we all want the silver and gold, but coins pay those battery and coffee bills.

LOL, that is pretty funny. Why would someone do that? Purpose? Mistake? Booze & Drugs when making the signs?
I have seen School and Stop signs painted on the street with typo's... anything is possible I guess.
At least you got the OK for 7 days a week. Good story!
