To be honest I'm not sure where it was found. The gold color rock was a gift to me because everyone knows i love to hunt rocks. Yes it is feels heavy to me and scratches on a scratch plate. It leaves what looks like a semi silver/golden depending on how you look at it in the light. My bf is convinced it's pyrite but I've never seen pyrite lol like this before and the other rock is metallic gray in color with golden flakes and it looks like pyrite inside of the grooves of the rock which is where the sparkles are coming from. But the golden "pyrite" seems to be a little bit too soft to be pyrite since I'm able to get certain pieces from it and bend the golden specks. The metallic gray rock leaves a silvery color behind on the scratch plate when I tested it that way.

Welcome Missbrooke! Pyrite is not heavy so I'm going with gold nugget. The other
reminds me of a story I read about the mines near Carson City Nevada. They were
digging along and found some gold but then ran into hard rock. The mining engineers
in the US at that time had little experience in mining in hard rock so they sent for
a mining engineer from the copper mines in Ireland. When the man arrived they
took him down to the mine and started asking him questions on how to extract
gold from hard rock. He was distracted by the huge pile of tailings nearby.
Standing there with his jaw agape he finally got the composure to tell the American
engineers that the huge pile of solid black tailings was nearly pure silver.
