just read this in seattles paper. give me a break. if you have ever been to Pike street markt, you will know how this place adds to the feel! I don't believe in cruelty to animals, but - -

I've been there... and it's quite a fascinating place!
Why is it that these "special groups" seem to want to change everything about this country to be "non-offensive & politically correct"??
If they want things to change so badly, why not just go somewhere else where their ideas are already being practiced?

Just more of the same from peta. They want us all to live on carrot sticks and tofu. Not sure why tossing fish to cold storage is cruel, I guess they would rather have them rot in the sun. Either way, fish yummy peta naughty. :laughing9:

A dead fish smells after awhile. And you want to yell cruelty to animals. What about that dead fish smell that PETA is squauking about.

I never heard a dead flying fish complaining, and I walked right past those dead fying fish when I worked at the market.

PETA forgets that Jesus told Peter that he would make Peter a fisher of men. He wasn't talking about catch and release either. He was talking to a fisherman and saying he can catch men in a sermon and offer salvation to them. Peter was a fisheman and Jesus never offered him PETA.

I love my carrot cake, banana bread, and zucchini bread, but I have to have protien and B vitamins also. So get a life in the fast lane PETA, and stop making waves for the working class. Even if they do throw fish. Dead or alive

I dunno, but some of that smell may not be coming from the fish. Some of the more hardcore environmentalists probably forsake bathing entirely (no doubt justifying it as bad for the planet, somehow), except for accidently getting caught in the occasional rain storm....

Trust me they do. These concerned souls picketed our local KFC to protest how the chickens were dispatched before becoming my meal. To each their own, but don't shove your tofu at me!

Those flying fish at the market were already dead when they were being tossed.

If you want to accuse fish of living while being eaten then talk about sushi.

I see green peace ramming fish processing boats all the time. Violent, very violent. ELF(earth liberation front) is no better.

I believe eating the animal is a sign of respect. I was a vegetarian at one time, but when I moved back to the rockies, I changed that real quick. God gave us so many gifts on this wonderful planet, food being one of them. kinda goofy, but I guess it takes all kinds to make up this vida loca!

I agree PETA does do somethings that are great really but, man somethings are just plain stupid and makes everyone more offened by them!

Fish Market is goo I've never had the opertunity to see one in person but, someday.

And totally dumb to go after Obama for whacking a fly and let me say it now I WHACK FLYS SPIDERS (in my territory and SKEETERS!

Now I don't whack them in their areas like the garden, garage, ect!
