I,m new at this and have a question, if im looking for small gold like flour and a little larger, i dont need to use Riffles in the Sluice box ? Im thinking no but wanna make sure, ty Doc420

Right you are. Assuming you classify your material to remove anything larger than 1/8 or even 1/12 mesh, you can just use deep V rubber mat the whole way down the sluice.
