I have a few like the second one, found here in SE Kansas. Probably later than yours but I liked to imagine they were for scraping out bone marrow amongst other things. Thanks for sharing.

I have a couple of these in milky quartz. In my youth I used to just ignore these and leave them searching for points. Someone should have been with me when I first started. Thinking back, I regret many mistakes I made. Thanks for your post.

No kidding, gilmer! We mostly tossed anything that was not notched as kids! Woodland points that had a tapered base were disappointing! Sad to say that my extensive collection from childhood is mostly traded away or lost. Some of the"'less desireables" such as blades and scrapers, I still have, and am glad I do.
