not a pin---

this came from an 1860' lawn, but could be older, as I also dug '25 large cent cut in half-- this piece dose not have a pin or clasp on the back, appears to be a slide. Any one know how it might have been used??
size is 2.5'' x 1.25'', silver plated thanks, da Prof--

ahh, didn't think of that! the house was advertised as a 'lodging' in a 1920's add--know as 'The Lawns'--I did get a Barber half and quarter the the first day out--unfortunately, there has been a lot of remodeling, additions, gardens and a pond added to the place, still a lot of lawn left to hunt.
