I got to spend two hours of tranquility today (no kids along!) in a site that gave an 85 Indian and 20 wheat earlier this week and didn't find a single coin ???. It could be that the area has been hunted and the other coins were missed. What I found is this thin little item, about the size of a dime, and I have no idea what it might be. Any guesses? It appears to have a keyhole, but it would be really small.

I believe you hit it right on the nose....Keyhole for sure, but a itty bitty one!

Cute little key hold :)

Could it have been on a jewelry box? My daughter's jewelry box I bought her in Italy has a design (not like you have)...but it's for a key also.

Hope you are able to find more items in that area...Good Luck!

Looks pretty cool, whatever it is.

HD,
I was going to guess June LOCK-HEART, but this is July. ;D
I have no idea, but neat find.
Congrats,

I'll go with key hole too. Sorry about the no coiner day. Sometimes they just hide from us.

Maybe a little key hole cover from a diary type book?

I agree with trooper on this one Henry...

It is a neat find though and I would guess if it is a child's diary lock cover...then were it was found children were near...I am a firm believer in children loosing things...especially the silver dime there grandfather just gave them... ;D

Nice stuff,

Nick
Gotta agree, Nick; you're a keen judge of human behavior!

Neat find! HH, Mike
