Went to one of my many dry holes and got these. 2 round balls one might be carved and a thing. It has words on it but even with my microscopic glass I can make it out. Any ideas? IMG_2515.webpIMG_2516.webpIMG_2517.webpIMG_2518.webpIMG_2511.webpIMG_2512.webpIMG_2513.webpIMG_2514.webp

droughts they are just lousy but they happen to all of us. I'm not dead either but kind of feel like a truck ran over me. Managed to get out for an hour or so today, dug a lot of pull tabs/rings, several pieces of iron, some wire but I got out. Between too many irons in the fire and just hurting from back and knee, not a lot of hunting right now. The awesome finds can really spoil you, especially if they come regularly for a while but the down side is well, a down side LOL. Keep plugging away, the next hole could be it! DL

Strategies are going to have to change across the board,Ive seen many posts this year of people who are on the brink of being done. Myself included. Once you’ve hunted spots within an hour and a half drive from your home base with very little return with the best of today’s machines, things HAVE to change. It’s either hunting for things OTHER than coins for me,or getting into door knocking, which I’m still not sure about. Put the lack of targets together with things on the back burner that need to be done....it doesn’t take long to think that maybe, just maybe....this thing is coming to a close for now. I love hunting as we all do. It just has to have some kind of tolerable return, which lately,it does not.

Metal detecting isn't for everyone. ;)

How hard of a move is that?
About 30 feet. Not hard at all if you own a wrecker. Emptying the barn, removing the ramp and the underpending which had now sunk due to settling was a pain coupled with the heat. I'm looking forward to getting done with this. It was Fun in the Sun, but not with Frankie and Annette. Lol

I just went to my 1812 permission and hunted for 2 1/2 hours with nothing. Nothing but rusty nails
It happens to all of us from time to time, but Ah when you find that one special relic all is forgotten and all is made well and right in the world.
