Could possibly be a musket ball. Do you know if the area you hunted in has any military history or possible encampments?

yes it does wraith....civil war skirmishes in the area throughout the war, i have found one other bullet but not of this type the other one was a fired three ring. This was found only about 50 feet from the fired one actually. I thought it too small to be a bullet, i suppose it could have been from a pistol of some sort? its about the size of your standard clamp type fishing sinker, maybe 3 times the size of a bb.

If it's 1/3 the width of a dime I'd guess buckshot instead of musket ball. They'd be more dime diameter.

I know with some of the confederate muskets they used buck and ball. Was thinking it could be a pistol bullet too. Nice find though!
